Yes, it is time to start thinking about the Christmas holiday. Once again, the elementary will be offering the Christmas Shop to the students in grades 4K through 6th grade. For those of you new to our district, this is what the Christmas Shop is.
We ask for items that you are planning to get rid of, things that are in good condition (no clothing, please). Some examples might be presents that you received but decided weren’t for you, or maybe you’ve cleaned out your closet (decorations, knick-knacks, books, etc). We will take donations from now and through the week of the Christmas Shop. As time gets closer, we will also be in need of wrapping paper, tags, paper bags and plastic bags.
These items are then priced from 25 cents up to $2.00. Students then go “shopping”, picking items for their families. We will be looking for volunteers to help wrap and get these goodies back to the students to take home. The Christmas Shop has been a very fun experience for all involved. The money that was raised in the past has been donated to the NOW Program and the Loyal Food Pantry. This year we will be sharing the money raised with the Food Pantry and Tractors for Autism. Last year we raised and donated over $1,400. Do you think we can meet or maybe even beat that amount? Let’s give it a good try!
As always, give us a call with any questions you might have, Mary Laschen #715-255-8352, Junitta Nikolai #715-570-6099, or Elizabeth Nikolai #715-650-0205. Otherwise, we look forward to getting your donations and having a very successful Christmas Shop!
