Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Wisconsin is proud to partner with the Loyal School District to offer Site Based Mentoring. Big Brothers Big Sisters matches elementary and middle school youth with high school mentors. Together these matches will meet weekly at the child’s school, during the school day, on a one-on-one basis to engage in fun and exciting activities.
Match meetings will typically occur on the same day each week and last for 30-45 minutes each time. While meeting, matches can play board/card games, do arts and crafts, work on homework or simply sit and talk. Children served in our program can be referred from a parent, teacher, counselor, or social worker for a variety of reasons. These reasons can range from a social, emotional, educational, or behavioral need. Children served in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program often increase their levels of competence, confidence, and caring.
If you are interested in enrolling your child or becoming a Big, please contact your child’s teacher or guidance counselor today for more information. If you would like further information about our program, please contact Beth Kohnert at the Big Brothers Big Sisters office at 715-341-0661.
