As a child, I knew from about age five that I wanted to be a teacher or do something for the good of the cause. I've always had a passion and interest in children. In high school, my volleyball coach was a special education teacher, and for our school's work study program, my interest in special education bloomed from there.
I attended college at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, and finished my degree in 2010 at the University of Wisconsin, Stout. I decided to transfer schools due to Stout's offering of a cross-categorical program.
In 2016, I received my Masters Degree in Education with emphasis in Special Education. I spent the last 6 years teaching special education at the elementary level. I am beyond excited to be part of Loyal this year!
My family has been a key component in my education and have shaped me to be who I am today. I have a boyfriend of two years and his three boys, one daughter, two sisters, one niece, three nephews and wonderful parents. I am fortunate enough to have my family here in Marshfield with me, except one sister who lives in Madison, WI. We like to go boating, get together for coffee on Sunday mornings, and talk smart.
