Ending the Year

Mr. Dieckman

Just as quick as the halls of the school are filled with students, they soon become empty again.  This school year has quickly escaped us as we head into our summer vacation for our students and families.  It seems like we just get going and then we turn the page to the end of the year planning.  I would like to say what a wonderful year it has been.

The end of the school year is always a crazy time.  From busy sports seasons battling cold, snowy, rainy weather to preparing our seniors for their last event here at Loyal.  It comes so fast!  I would like to congratulate our graduating class of 2022.  The 125th graduating class of Loyal High School.  What an impact these students have made throughout their educational journey.  I would like to extend a special congratulations to our Valedictorian, Abrial Kubista, and our Salutatorian, Micah Kayhart.  Both of these students exemplify exactly what it means to excel throughout their educational careers. We wish them the best along with all of our graduates.

I would like to congratulate all of our spring sports athletes and coaches on great seasons.  Our softball team was co-conference champs this season and we had six girls track athletes qualify for the state competition.  Congratulations to Abrial, Aubre, Leah, Alyssia, Lisa, Sheila, and Haven, Molly and Noelle.  The relay team consisting of Leah, Shelia, Alyssia and Aubre placed 4th which got them a spot on the podium! What an exciting season to all of our athletes.

This year we hosted our first 8th grade promotion ceremony as we recognized all of our 8th graders on their advancement into high school next year.  This is our largest class in the school and we are excited to see them grow and do some great things.

Lastly our high school choir along with a few of our middle school students had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Milwaukee Brewer game Friday, June 3rd. What an amazing opportunity and they “knocked it out of the park!”  Many of us were able to make the trip and enjoy our students' performance. What a great way to end their school year.  Congratulations to Mr. Ognenoff and all of our choir students.

Well, the end to another fantastic school year and the beginning of the planning for 2022-2023. I wish everyone a wonderful summer vacation.  Enjoy your families and the days of summer.  Take care everyone and we will see you all in August.
