Where Has Time Gone?

Mr. Lindner - Where Has Time Gone?

It is amazing where the time has gone as we have completed yet another year of school.  It is a great feeling to have another graduating class ready to take on the world and the adventures.  I am very thankful and proud of our staff, students and parents have contributed to make this a successful school year.  As I look back on the school year, I am very proud of the many accomplishments that our students have achieved this year.

On Saturday, May 28th, we celebrated the graduation of the 125th class of Loyal High School.  Congratulations Class of 2022 and thank you for all that you have done. This was a special class that accomplished many great achievements.  I wish them all good luck in their future endeavors and know that with the foundation that they have built they will achieve great things.

I would like to thank our retirees and wish them good luck in their future endeavors. The three of them have been key pillars in the success of our district and have combined for 117 years of valued knowledge and experience.

  • Sharon Briceland – Library Assistant
  • Susan Stelzer – First Grade Teacher
  • Dan Lindgren – Maintenance/Custodial Supervisor

We also have some staff members that are moving on in their careers and would like to thank them for all they have done for our district and want to wish them good luck.

  • Autumn Tietz – Art
  • Paul Ziebell – Science
  • Curtis Hanson – Band
  • Heidi Michaelis – MS Title I
  • Josh Ognenoff – Chorus/Music

It will be a busy summer in our building as we have several projects taking place.  We have new playground equipment being delivered at the end of the month, our new combined library is getting prepped for a new look to serve the district, there are new LED lights and drop ceilings going into some classrooms, new air handlers will be going into the former elementary library, replacing five univents in classrooms, and there will be some tuck pointing on the building.

Our summer school and summer recreation department has been reorganized and updated to accommodate more kids in different activities.

In the June board meeting the school board reorganized and selected new officers:

  • Tom Odeen – President
  • Harlan Hinkleman – Vice President
  • Dave Clintsman – Clerk
  • Carrie Becker – Secretary
  • Kim Bremmer – Director
  • Holly Lindner – Director
  • Dennis Roehl – Director

I would like to thank our board members for everything they do for our district.

With the start of school being a little earlier, first day being August 23, we are concentrating on completing the projects and hiring new staff members.  I would like to thank the staff and am grateful for their work on making this year a big success.

Have a relaxing and safe summer.
